Melville, NY, September 10, 2020 – Leviton announced today a new Decora Smart family of Zigbee enabled lighting controls for intuitive control of lighting in the smart home. The new controls feature four new Zigbee 3.0 certified devices – a dimmer, a switch, and two easy-to-install smart plugs. With the latest in Zigbee technology, these products are compatible with many popular control systems, including Comcast’s home security solution, Xfinity Home, which was named CNET’s best professionally installed home security system.

Zigbee enabled lighting controls allow homeowners to control lights from anywhere, reduce energy consumption, and enhance the overall wellness of their homes with customized lighting. Users can wirelessly connect Decora Smart Zigbee devices to compatible Zigbee hubs for remote lighting control, scheduling, inclusion in scene-based lighting, and other home automation activities. For example, users can set bedroom lights to dim when it’s time for the kids to go to sleep. With the launch of the new Zigbee 3.0 certified devices, homeowners now have even more options to control their smart home’s lighting through integration with platforms like Xfinity Home.

Zigbee 3.0 devices are backwards compatible with previous Zigbee generations and use mesh networking technology to provide quick, reliable, and secure communication to a wide variety of Zigbee certified smart products such as sensors, thermostats, locks, and more. Designed for the future, Decora Smart Zigbee 3.0 products also support LED, CFL, incandescent, halogen, and fluorescent load types.
